{ freebie! } | free photoshop chevron pattern and digital papers

Today I wanted to share a freebie that could benefit both fellow photographers, but also scrapbookers and designers. I am currently in the midst of finally designing all of my packaging and marketing materials, and have been looking around the net for inspiration. The chevron pattern has been HUGE lately and I was literally seeing it EVERYWHERE! I’m trying not to be too trendy in my design work just to keep myself from redesigning everything a year from now, but I am just so in love with this bold print. I’m choosing not to use it in my own work (at least for printed material) but I still decided to make my own chevron pattern in Photoshop just so I could share it on my little piece of the interwebs.

Included in this download are ten 12×12, 300dpi .jpg files of all the color schemes shown below for easy use in most situations. I’ve also included, for anyone that knows their way around Photoshop, a .pat file of a seamless chevron pattern in all of these colors for easy load into your pattern folder to fill any shape you need.

Feel free to use this in any of your work- personal, business, or commercial. Just don’t sell the pack as is. If you make anything fun, please feel free to share on my facebook wall!

{ freebies } | pink and turquoise business card freebie!

businesscard.jpg

Ahh, it’s about time! Several weeks ago I mentioned that I would be putting some business card templates up on the blog, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I finally have one of the templates ready for posting! This is the template I used for my own business cards and they turned out beautifully! I had mine printed through WHCC. I used their rep cards and had them printed on pearl paper with UV coating on both sides. They are awesome quality with just the right amount of sparkle!

I’ve included the templates for both WHCC and Millers.

I designed these in Photoshop CS5, so I assume they should work in CS2 and above, although I make no guarantees.

I don’t have time to give step by step instructions, so I suggest you be fairly comfortable with Photoshop to use these templates. I did try to make them as easy to understand as I could. They’re fairly simple! :)

The background papers are from the blush digital paper pack over at Sassy Designs. Font credit goes to Fonts for Peas.

I already have two more business cards to give out as freebies very soon. I just gotta get my husband to put them on the server. Why don’t you fan us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter so you can stay in the loop! (I plan on sharing all my designs as I develop my marketing materials!)
