I hate to say it, but I think Jamie has ruined weddings for me. She was so laid back, calm, and just plain happy the entire day that now I’m going to expect this out of all my future brides! (And I know this is unrealistic as even I was a complete frazzled mess at my wedding nearly two years ago!) If she was even a teeny bit nervous or ansy to walk down that aisle, she certainly didn’t show it. It was just fun and laughter the whole day. After meeting Jamie and Bryan in May for their engagement photos, I knew it was going to be a great wedding day. Even though it was about a billion and two degrees outside, everyone was a great sport after I kept telling them “just one more shot” time and time again. Special props go to the groom and groomsmen who must have been burning up, but managed to smile the whole way through. One thing that really stuck out to me at this wedding was how warm and kind the guests and bridal party were. Jamie and Bryan truly surrounded themselves by people who really love and care for them. It was really a beautiful thing to witness. Congratulations Jamie and Bryan! Thank you so much for letting me share in this beautiful day.

I am so excited to share these pictures, that I can’t even wait for the bride and groom to get back from their honeymoon cruise to put them up! :) These pictures are especially dear to me because the beautiful bride also happens to be my cousin. My mom and I drove up to Elizabethtown, Kentucky to be a part of Emily and Chris’s wedding day. We woke up early Sunday morning to gray skies and terrible thunderstorms, which is not a good mix when your wedding is taking place outside at a park. Fortunately, the rain stopped in time for their 3pm ceremony, and it turned out to be a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky! Emily and Chris seem to share something really special- I foresee a long and happy life together raising their super cute family. Oh, and I just have to give mad props to my awesome mama for being my second shooter during the ceremony. I handed her my back up camera ten minutes before the ceremony and just asked her to shoot. She had never ever used it before and still managed to get some of my favorite shots of the day. I won’t tell you which ones are hers because they fit so perfectly into my style that I don’t think any one would ever know. :) Emily, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day. Let’s try to not let another 11 years go by without getting together! Much love to you and your new husband!
