Just wanted to do a quick share about what’s been happening behind the scenes over the past four months here at A Million Sighs Photography. I am so thrilled to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first child this October! Just got a clean bill of health for both me and the baby last week, so I thought it was finally time to share why things have been on the quiet side lately. :)

On Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of photographing my very close friend Stephanie’s maternity photos. Her and her husband trusted me to photograph their wedding back in 2010 when I was still a super newbie photographer, and Stephanie has been in front of my camera several times since. Of course, this is the most special session because her and Joe are expecting their first baby in just a few weeks, little mister Joey. It was a very dreary day at Rotary Park in Cape Coral, but as always, we made the best out of the situation and walked away with some special photos to commemorate this new life. Congratulations! I can’t wait to meet the little guy!

Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph this *adorable* (!!!) Ohio couple’s engagement photos in Disney’s Magic Kingdom! Katie and Tomas got engaged last year on their trip to Disney, so it was only fitting to capture their love and cuteness there as well. It was a rainy day in Orlando, but luckily it stayed mostly away until we finished up our shoot. We meandered around the park and they were up for anything, which always makes a photographer happy! When you look through the photos, take note of how happy and genuine their expressions are when they look at each other. They are high school sweethearts, and even after just the short time I was able to spend with them, I can tell that they will have a very long and happy future together. Thank you Katie and Tomas for choosing me to capture your *magical* (it’s Disney, I have to!) love! I hope you had an amazing vacation!

Target and their infinite supply of cute stuff inspired me to do a Valentine shoot. Miss Kaley agreed to my model and did a great job. Unfortunately, the lighting didn’t quite agree with my vision, but I think we still managed to snag a few keepers. Thanks again Kaley!

Briana, Briana, Briana, what is there to say? This girl is C-U-T-E! I’ve watched her grow up from an itty bitty, barely walking baby, into this absolutely adorable little girl. Her big sister is BFFL’s with the girl I nanny for, so needless to say, I’ve seen A LOT of this family over the past five years. (You can even see them on my blog here, and we hope to update their family photos SOON!) Briana’s mama and I decided to take advantage of winter break last week and get together to take a few head shots, just in case talent scouts in our area wisen up and see that this girl is meant to be in front of a camera! Seriously, we shot for over an hour and I did not get one ounce of complaints from her. She stayed on task and was a model… well, model. :) Don’t take it from me, see for yourself!

The following two pictures SCREAM horror movie to me. How perfect would she be as that super cute and sweet and innocent little girl that totally creeps you out. Yeah. PERFECT.

I Heart Faces is holding its annual “Best Face” challenge. This time around, I’ve decided to enter a frame from my styled Alice in Wonderland at the Circus shoot. This session was very special to me because it was the first time in my photography journey that I was able to collaborate with a makeup artist and an experienced model to bring my vision to life. It came out better than I could have imagined and it still gives me warm fuzzies looking back on what we accomplished that day.
