The theme this week at i heart faces is “pets.” My husband and I have three beautiful cats that are often tormented by my camera lens. For my contest entry, I decided to go with one of the very first pictures I took with my very first DSLR. This is Bobcat, Bob for short. We named him Bobcat after my sister jokingly said we should name him Bob. It fits him and it’s fun to yell out BOB!!! randomly. We rescued him from our local Humane Society about 4 years ago. Our other two cats, Callie (a calico- how deliciously clever we are with names!) and Lily were also rescues. Callie found us at our second floor apartment three years ago. She was starved, and literally must have been days from death. We took her into animal control and after a week when no one claimed her, we brought her into our happy little family. Lily was rescued from another shelter. She was abandoned in a box with her brothers and sisters. Her foster family nursed her to health and we adopted her at 12 weeks. She is the cuddliest cat ever. In fact, she’s laying on my lap as I type this!

Anyway, here’s Bob doing what Bob does best – lounging around and giving me dirty looks. He really can be a sweet cat, but he saves up his affection for very special moments.
