The theme this week at i heart faces is “I Heart My Country.” It’s basically a free-for-all type of week that allows us to post pretty much whatever we want. So I thought I would post some pictures from my very lovely state- Florida.

I am a “Florida Cracker” (born and raised here) and I really wouldn’t want it any other way. My very favorite thing about Florida? During the wintertime, I don’t need to put on eight million layers of clothes just to leave the house! Seriously, I don’t know how you northerners do it! I spent three days in Minneapolis in December once, and I literally could not stand to be there another minute. I would pick the Florida humidity every single time. :)

I’ve been living in Orlando for the past five years and I adore it. I love its central location to every other part of Florida, and the fact that we are the theme park capital of the world certainly doesn’t hurt the entertainment factor. I love the predictability of the weather and the beautiful beaches. I love that if your family wants to see you, they don’t mind coming to you rather than you coming to them (because who doesn’t want to vacation to Florida?!). I love the sunrises and the sunsets, and the lightening storms that literally turn the sky orange. I love Plant City strawberries and their super deliciousness. I love random weekend boating trips. I love watching dolphins play in their natural habitat. I love that beautiful coral reefs are only a few hour drive away. I just really love Florida and don’t think I could ever call another state “home.”
