Last weekend, I was in Cape Coral preparing to head to the east coast for Eve and Don’s wedding. On Friday afternoon, I decided I really wanted to try out a location that my mom had been raving about. After searching for a last minute model, I was coming up empty and decided to contact my friend Janea Soliven of JA Makeup Artistry to see if she had any local models she could hook me up with. Instead she insisted I join her and a few other photographers out on a farm for a just for fun shoot! And best of all, one of the models was my class of 2013 senior rep, Mikala! It is always a treat to photograph a model with hair and make up by the uber talented Janea, and I had soo much fun the last time I shot Mikala, that I simply could not turn down the invitation! There was a horse, a baby bull, chickens, and two mega downpours, yet we still managed to get some great pictures and have a ton of fun! These little collaborations really make me miss living in Cape Coral… I need to find an awesome group of artists in Orlando to align myself with! Umm yeah… Mikala is not only gorgeous, she is also a great actor! She really looks calm and collected in the photos above, but this is how we spent most of our time with Melvin!
